Thank you for trying ELCUT.

You've probably had a chance to use some field analysis packages,
and maybe you asked yourself, why too many of them are so
inconvenient, why they always try to flood your poor HD, why you
must browse thousands and thousands of pages in manuals before
analyzing quite a simple problem. We asked ourselves too. And we
decided to prove that a rather complicated problem could be
described in ten minutes and solved in ten seconds, that one can
obtain exactly what he needs from the field picture by pressing
several buttons, that finite element stuff could be handled as
easy as a pocket calculator.

Please, try ELCUT now. In fifteen minutes you will find yourself
fully comfortable with it and you will discover all the buttons,
menu items, controls, etc. exactly where your intuition says they
should be. We're sure you'll find it really easy!

And, some dull things. ELCUT is SHAREWARE, so if one day you
decide your evaluation period is over, you are encouraged to
register your copy (see REG_FORM.TXT for details). It's not a
joke that your contribution will help us to continue the
development, and sometime even a 3D version could appear!

Furthermore, if you think that your work might be interesting to
other people, your problems solved with ELCUT are welcome! We
plan to issue and support a collection of ELCUT problems,
classified by type of analysis, designation, etc., along with an
ELCUT distribution kit on FTP sites. We feel this will help many
universities to supplement their field analysis computer classes,
and will be useful to many people in many ways. We're even
proposing unique FREE registration--just for 5 sample problems
(see FREE_REG.TXT).

And the last thing. If your problem requires finer mesh, don't
worry. We have developed a more powerful version of our software.
It allows you to solve problems with up to 100,000 degrees of
freedom on any PC under DOS! The speed of our advanced solver
(50,000 nodes in 3.5 minutes on AT/486, 8MB RAM, 33MHz) will meet
all your requirements. The preconditioner based on the geometric
decomposition technique guarantees very high speed and very weak
correlation between the number of nodes and the required solution
time.
